MPC  Background


The National Federation of Motion Pictures and Contents Associations (commonly known as MPC) serves as the premier apex body uniting professional guilds,

trade associations, and enterprise leaders across Thailand’s motion picture and creative content ecosystem.

1. Inception & Evolution
Establishment (1991):

Founded originally as the "National Federation of Thai Film Associations," the organization was formed to resolve systemic industry bottlenecks,

unify fragmented creative professions, and foster long-term commercial stability. In its formative years, it bridged 11 foundational professions:

film producers, exhibitors/theaters, distributors, directors, actors/talent, production crews, voice actors, film laboratories, entertainment media, film academics, and video publishers.
Transition to Full Confederation (2008):

Under the leadership of Mr. Jaruek Kaljaruek, the Annual General Assembly resolved to restructure the organization

into the "National Federation of Motion Pictures and Contents Associations" (MPC). This elevated the entity into a comprehensive federation representing diverse commercial associations.

The transformation aligned with the enactment of the Motion Pictures and Video Act B.E. 2551 (2008),

which broadened the definition of screen content to formally include animation, gaming, and digital multimedia.
